On Wednesday 30 October, Chancellor Rachel Reeves presented the first Autumn Budget under the new Labour government. The focus of the budget is on restoring stability to the economy and investing in public services.
As widely expected before the announcement, key points included increases to Employers’ National Insurance Contributions and Capital Gains Tax. Inheritance tax reliefs for business and agricultural property have also been reduced.
